2016 ANZSOC – Abstract Submission

Invitation to Submit

On behalf of the Program Committee, we invite you to submit an abstract for presentation at the Australian and New Zealand Society of Criminology Conference. 

The theme of the 2016 Conference is ‘HORIZON CRIMINOLOGY’. Looking over the horizon there are challenges for criminology and criminal justice requiring innovative interpretations and creative responses to the past, present and future.

Presentation Formats

Authors are invited to submit abstracts for an Oral, Panel or Round Table Presentation.  The 250 word abstract should outline the background, aims and content of the presentation.  Abstracts related to research studies should include sections describing the methods, results and conclusions of the study.

We anticipate that submitting authors will be the principal presenter for the presentation.

Oral – 20 minute oral presentation – Reduced to 15 minutes

• Submission:  Prepare an abstract using the template provided (*.doc) and not exceeding 300 words.  Submit using the Presentation Portal by 30th June 2016

Panel – 3-5 presentations at 20 minutes each, presented in the same session – 60 minute panel sessions

• Submission:  Prepare all abstracts (maximum 5) using the template provided (*.doc) and not exceeding 300 words.  Combine in order of presentation, one per page divided by page breaks.  One central contact should submit the Panel submission using the Presentation Portal by 30th June 2016

Round Table – 5 minute presentation as part of a discussion group.  For presenters who may not wish to write a paper but are interested in informally talking about the research they are doing.

• Submission:  Prepare an abstract using the template provided (*.doc) and not exceeding 300 words.  Submit using the Presentation Portal by 30th June 2016
